Chandigarh-born Republic activist and a leading campaign ethics lawyer Harmeet Dhillon has been named a co-chair of the “Women for Trump 2020” campaign coalition.
She is among seven women announced as co-chairs of the newly-formed Women for Trump Coalition, at a conference in King of Prussia, PA. The coalition will work on courting female voters in supporting the second term reelection of President Trump. The coalition was announced by Lara Trump, President Trump’s daughter-in-law and one of the key leaders of the campaign, in front of several hundred women.
Dhillon, a practicing Sikh, was not present at the Pennsylvania gathering. She later tweeted, “It’s an honor to serve as a Co-Chair of the #trump2020 Women’s Advisory Board with many friends including #RealDrGina, #deneenborelli and so many more. #MAGA2020.”
As RNC National Committeewoman from California, Dhillon, 50, is one of the Golden State’s three members of the Republican National Committee.
Dhillon regularly appears on national media, especially on Fox News, commenting on political and legal issues. A well-known attorney, she has offices in San Francisco, London, and New York. Her focus is on commercial litigation, employment law, First Amendment rights, and election law matters, according to her company website dhillonlaw.com. She also served at the US Justice Department.
A graduate of Dartmouth College with a law degree from the University of Virginia, Dhillon did her clerkship with the Judge Paul V Niemeyer of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
She grew up in North Carolina. Dhillon was elected to the California Republican Party's Board in 2013 and became the National Committeewoman for the Republican National Committee in 2016. She also gave the opening prayer at the 2016 Republican National Convention in Punjabi, a first at the RNC.
