TV Asia brings to you an exclusive coverage of the Tyagaraja Aradhana event organized by Telegu Bharathi and Acme. Tyagaraja Aradhana is the annual aradhana of Telugu saint composer Tyagaraja. The ceremony of adoration is held every year on the anniversary of the demise of the saint. Carnatic musicians from all over the world descend and pay homage to the saint. The event which was held in Seattle bought together the art lovers of the community and served as a platform for showcasing budding and professional talent from the community.
The festival featured several group and solo performances of compositions of the great masters of the Carnatic tradition performed in an ambience soaked with traditional, colorful South Indian cultural pageantry. Around 20-30 Tyagaraja kirtanas were performed on the tunes of violin thus turning it into a violin concert. People from various parts of the US and also few from across the globe came together making it a successful event.
