Here' an exclusive coverage brought to you by TV Asia for the third annual showcase En Pointe 2017 organized by Art You. The event was held on June 23rd, 2017 at Interlake High School Performing Arts Center, Bellevue WA. Art You was started in the year 2014 by Meera Srinivasan and Savitha Srinivasan who are both trained and have been practising classical Indian dance (Bharatanatyam) since a decade.
Art You strives to preserve increasingly endangered classical and cultural art forms through creating a unique, youth-driven forum for collaboration and promote awareness of art forms in our communities in interactive lecture-demonstration sessions, Art Connect, and showcase these art forms in the final performance, Art Create.
The main aim of Art Create or the En Pointe event is to promote classical art forms among the youth in Greater Seattle area with many artists performing on various art forms such as Classical Western Music, Indian Classical dance forms, Visual Arts, Painting and many more. It thus proved to be a great platform for many youths who wish to showcase their talent on wider scale.
