Many people from the community participated with full rigor in the traditional celebration which is centuries old.
Ratha Yatra or Ratha Jatra or Chariot Festival is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath held at Puri in the state of Odisha, India. The festival commemorates Jagannath's annual visit to Gundicha Temple via Mausi Maa Temple (aunt's home) near Balagandi Chaka, Puri. The three chariots of Balabhadra, Subhadra and Jagannatha are newly constructed every year with wood of specified trees like phassi, dhausa, etc.
The event was full of people indulging themselves in Puja, Arati, Bhajans and organizing the Preeti Bhoj and thus making the celebrations a worthwhile for one and all.
