Pearl Banquets in Roselle, IL, was the venue for the recent semi-annual meet and fundraising of the charitable foundation of Indian American Medical Association of Illinois (IAMA).

IAMA is a non-profit professional organization, which comprises Illinois physicians of Indian Origin committed to professional excellence in quality patient care, education and community healthcare. The medical association promotes professional solidarity in patient care, teaching and research, bringing American medicine the distinctive contributions from India.

IAMA’s charitable foundation operates a yearlong free health clinic at 2645 W. Peterson Avenue in Chicago, providing basic primary healthcare, preventive medical care and public health education to patients. For the future, the foundation aims to recruit more volunteer physicians to extend hours of service. Eventually, the clinic hopes to provide specialty services, including dental care.
