The Indian Seniors of Chicago (ISC) recently hosted their annual Picnic at Busse Woods Forest Preserve Grove in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Organizers said the picnic drew more than 300 people. After routine procedures of monthly meetings were concluded, members participated in games, singing and in celebration of member birthdays in July.
Several others participated in antaksari and volley ball. Also, provisions were made for Indian meal, which included a variety of preparations such as ladu, khichdi, ring potatoes, shakh, papad, chhas and puri.
ISC president Dr Narsinhbhai Patel welcomed guests, such as Ramanbhai Patel, president of United Pariwars, who gave a donation to ISC. Dr Patel also thanked committee members as well as volunteers, who worked on planning and hosting the annual picnic.
