Sangeetayan in partnership with the Pandit Jasraj School of Music Atlanta, was honored to present the Legendary Pandit Jasraj Live in Atlanta at Georgia State's iconic Rialto Center for the Performing Arts. It was an astounding experience of rich musical traditions of India with an evening of classical, devotional, and spiritual music by the globally renowned vocalist Padma Vibhushan Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj.
Pandit Jasraj is a globally renowned Indian Classical vocalist and recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, India's highest civilian honor. He's perhaps the last of the great stalwarts of Indian Classical Music and is considered to be an ambassador of the rich Indian musical heritage. He performed in Atlanta for the very first time.
Pandit Jasraj was accompanied by the accomplished Padma Shri Pandita Tripti Mukherjee & Pandit Pritam Bhattacharjee on harmonium and vocals, as well as Pandit Prithwiraj Bhattacharjee on tabla.
