The Vishwa Hindu Parisad Women's Conference facilitates empowerment through knowledge. The conference is held every year by the VHPA Atlanta chapter. This year the main focus was on topics such as Marriage and Sanskar. The event which is held every year aims at building a network of the Hindu women where they can come together and connect with like minded people.
Attendees came from all age groups and a variety of professions and backgrounds: young moms to grandmas, bringing with them their own unique perspective. To keep attendees actively engaged, the organizers had put together a newsletter with articles on current events and issues related to women. The objective of the event was to discuss on various social problems faced and to start a healthy conversation where all aspects are given due consideration.
VHPA with such social events aims to promote unity among Hindus through a network of Parishad chapters and like-minded organizations, provide community service to people in distress or need without consideration of race, religion or nationality, Cultivate a spirit of self respect for our way of life, our environment, our Dharma Gurus and institutions and respect for the people of all colors, creeds, races and religions.
