"Save A Life" blood drive was organized by Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta on Saturday July 29, 2017 at the Alpharetta Public Library. The drive aimed at encouraging people of the community to donate blood which will be transported to places where its needed.
Save a life blood drive mission was to donate blood and help cancer patients, people in accidents, people who need blood transfusions and children at the Children's Hospital of Atlanta. It also urged that every two seconds someone in America is in need of blood, so every blood donation is valuable.
Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) was formed in 1981. Over the years it has grown and has become an integral part of Telugu Community in Metro Atlanta and an active participant of Indian community events. Cultural events organized during festivals consist of various items like dances, skits, plays, singing, mimicry, etc.
