Consulate General of India and US-India Chamber of Commerce Midwest held a discussion on Make in India Program, PM Modi’s recent US visit and the outcomes and the GST reforms. The Consul General mentioned that “Make in India” is one of the flagship programmes of the Government of India which is aimed at transforming the Indian economy towards making it a ‘global manufacturing hub’.
The Consul General said that government has taken a series of reforms to improve the ease of doing business. She also talked about other flagship programs of Government of India such as “Skill India” and “Digital India”. Mr. Ajit Pant, President, US India Chamber of Commerce Midwest discussed the “Make in India”
initiative and the vast business opportunities that this program presents for the overseas investors. Around 150 persons from business community of Chicago area participated in the event.
The US-India Chamber of Commerce (Midwest) has been a business networking group of choice of small and medium sized entrepreneurial companies, professionals and individuals interested in the promotion of their business and to form a community where like minded individuals can come under one roof and share experiences and expertise.
